It all goes back to when I began at Citadel Broadcasting on April 1, 2002. I was hired as a Sales Assistant for WRAX, 107.7 The X by Sales Manager-extraordinaire Chris Cleland. About two weeks into the job, the Sales Assistant who was at JOX left and I asked the legendary Sales Manager of JOX Bob Woodman if I could move back to his office and become the Sales Assistant for JOX and WAPI. Thankfully Bob allowed me to move there and thus begins this epic tale......
I was given the start of my 15 minutes of quote-unquote "fame" when I was labled "Patty The Office Girl" one day on-air JOX 690 by the man, the myth, the legend Scott Griffin on The Morning Express with he and Matt Coulter. Griff had asked me to bring him something from the sales office, which I did and he thanked me on 50,000-watts by calling me an office girl. Griff so keenly noticed that I was the first guy hired as an assistant in the sales office and thought he was being funny when he called me a girl. After time, the office "girl" became the office "chick" because let's face it, "chick" is much more masculine than "girl".
